The Biomechanics Lab is dedicated to stimulating thought and promoting education for all those interested in the field of biomechanics and its many related areas. This website will provide a medium for connection between individuals in the biomechanics field. By establishing a unified community, it will help in the advancement of human performance.

Biomechanists, kinesiologists, engineers, physicians, physical therapists, strength and conditioning coaches, and much more are all encouraged to contribute to the site. The goal is to connect diverse academic backgrounds so we can better help one another.

Finally, please take advantage of all the site has to offer because the purpose of this site is to help facilitate communication and education for you the visitor. Enjoy!

The biomechanics community has suffered an enormous loss during the shootings at Virginia Tech yesterday. Kevin Granata, an engineering science and mechanics professor, was among the lives lost. He was a tremendous researcher specifically in the area of movement dynamics in cerebral palsy. He will be missed, and may he and others be in your thoughts and prayer during this great tragedy.

The conference list has been updated with all the most up-to-date conferences. Also, there is now a print "friendly" list available at the bottom of the "Conference List" page.

The message board now has 3 new Forums! Visitors will have the opportunity to choose from forums such as the "Biomechanics", "Exercise Science", and "Medicine & Rehabilitation".
